Managed the Social Media and Events for the Chicago Location of the National Restaurant Chain SUSHISAMBA

The Situation

SUSHISAMBA launched a social media campaign for their six stores from their national headquarters in New York.  The internal marketing and public relations team for SUSHISAMBA managed their Social Media outlets, including the main feed @SUSHISAMBA and the main Facebook page for the restaurant.  SUSHISAMBA felt that they needed a stronger Social Media presence for their Chicago location and they wanted a partner who knew and understood the brand as well as the restaurant category.

The Solution

Lotus Marketing Services collaborated with the national team and determined a cohesive strategy, tactics and goals for @SUSHISAMBAchi and the SUSHISAMBA rio Facebook page.  We conducted an audit of the existing audience and provided a competitive analysis. Managed all outgoing social media communication strategies, including content creation, for SUSHISAMBA rio. Developed a relationship with foodies and food bloggers in Chicago on various social media outlets. Ongoing efforts were put in place to identify new opportunities and trends for SUSHISAMBA rio within the social media space, i.e., the development of SUSHISAMBA Foursquare promotions. Monthly reporting on audience development and the measurement of sentiment regarding the SUSHISAMBA brand and brand experience in Chicago.

From the event side, Lotus Marketing Services created monthly events and promotions to celebrate and embrace SUSHISAMBA rio’s social media audience. These events included: TweetUps, Sushi and Sake Classes contests and promotions online to drive traffic in-store.
