Lotus Marketing Services creates unique lifestyle and technology events that are target specific audiences. Our aim is to make the experience for the participant memorable in order to leave a lasting and positive impression of the brand that sponsored the event.
Downtown Dash – Location Based, Social Media Scavenger Hunt in Chicago
Downtown Dash will take place in Chicago in September of 2011. The title sponsor is ING DIRECT Cafe. The social media driven scavenger hunt will kick off in July with 8 to 12 weeks of promotion online via social channels. The Downtown Dash will take on many of the key aspects of the successful event, created and produced by Lotus Marketing Services in 2010, Urban Hunt.
Downtown Dash will have up to 100, socially savvy, teams of two competing for great prizes. Teams will be rewarded on their social presence, and how well they promote their team pages online, leading up to the event. On event day, teams will be required to recover up to 25 sponsor driven items, check-in on Foursquare and post their findings to their social networks. The physical challenge will be followed by a party for the teams.
All sponsorship levels can be tailored to the marketing objectives of your company or brand. We can support on-premise, retail locations, create brand awareness, create contests for your brand leading up to the event, utilize the event for recruitment purposes and build significant brand awareness.

Women in Technology Events
Technology events for women in Chicago and manage the group Girls in Tech on Facebook as well as the social media technology group, Social Savvies. Free workshops for women who are employed in technology or are technology enthusiasts. Events include: Social Media training (Hootsuite and other social media tools), SEO workshops and Google Analytics 101.
Food and Wine Events
Concept and promote food and wine events for client to drive business into establishments or to promote a particular product. Lotus Marketing Services has created TweetUps for a multitude of businesses and clients. Everything from “The Wines of Twitter” at the Park Hyatt in Chicago to “The Un-Corporate Holiday Party” at SUSHISAMBA.
Fashion and Beauty Events
Fashion and beauty events for women in Chicago. These are sponsored events where clients gain exposure to a new audience. Events consist of Girls Night Out parties where ladies receive free hair, make-up and beauty treatments and products.
What is s a TweetUp? A TweetUp is an event created for like-minded individuals who “follow” each other on Twitter. Sponsoring a TweetUp is a great way for a brand to create exposure in a short period of time. TweetUps make most sense when they are sponsored by a brand or company who is aiming to reach a particular segment on Twitter. It is customary for attendees of TweetUps to “tweet” photos and their experiences throughout the event. The attendees will generally follow a #hashtag that has been created for the event. A best practice is to have a giveaway that is rewarded at the end of the evening to a participant who has been tweeting using the event #hashtag.
